Setting Up Your Nursery With Baby Furniture
Part of the fun of having a new arrival, is decorating their room. The biggest purchases of course, will be in the line of baby furniture. That could include your crib, a dresser, changing table, and more, depending on what your space and budget will allow.
Discount baby furniture isn’t that hard to find, if you know how to go about it. Not only will you get what you want, you’ll save money doing it, and have some left over for the little extras.
Check your local stores that sell baby furniture. These can be specialty stores, or may just be the local furniture store that also carries infant and junior bedroom suites and accessories. Quite often they will have end of season sales, before the new models come out. Even a small discount on baby furniture is money in your pocket.
Another tip, is to buy unfinished pieces, such as dressers, and cupboards that you can stencil or varnish yourself. Instead of buying a separate changing table, get a change mat and railing that fits on top of your dresser.
If there are no wholesalers in your area, search them out in the Yellow Pages or on the Internet. End of the line and last, one-of-a-kind items are often discounted to move them out of the warehouse. You’d be surprised how much you can save by having a little patience, and checking the ads for your local retailers as well. It never hurts to ask whether a certain piece of baby furniture is going on sale, either. Most outlets are willing to let you know, and if you’re lucky, they may even give you the discount off your baby furniture, right there!
