Just because you do not spend a lot of money on a date it does not mean the date will not be fun. There are many dates you can go on where you will have a great time and not break the pocketbook. Here are a few ideas for some inexpensive and fun dates.

- Go to a Coffee Shop ? A coffee shop is a great date, especially a first date, as you can really spend time talking and getting to know your date. You can sit down, have a nice cup of Joe, and enjoy each other’s company.

- Go on a Picnic ? A picnic is a great idea for a date. It can also be a very romantic date as well. You can get some wine, cheese, bread, fruit, and you are ready to go. Pick out a nice spot to sit for a while, throw down a blanket, and have a great date.

- Take a walk or go on a hike ? This is a great date idea if you want to be active as well. Pick a nice park, beach, or hiking trail and hit it. You can even bring some food and have a nice picnic as well. This date will also give you a lot of time to talk with your date.

- Visit an art gallery or museum ? If you want to see some interesting exhibits or experience some culture a date to a museum or art gallery is a great idea. These can also be good first dates as it will always give you something to talk about. Many times these places will also have a coffee shop where you can sit down and have a cup of coffee. Many times these places are free to visit, which just makes it that much less expensive of a date.

- Make a home cooked meal ? Creating a good home cooked meal is much cheaper than going to a nice restaurant. Many times a home cooked meal can be more romantic as well. You can pick out a good dinner to make, have a good bottle of wine and enjoy the company if your date. If you are a man a good home cooked meal can also impress a woman.

- Have Brunch ? Having brunch is a great date and is also less expensive than dinner because, generally, people do not drink alcohol at brunch. You can have a nice brunch late in the morning or early in the afternoon.

- See a Matinee ? The movie date is nothing new but by going to a matinee the movie will be cheaper. Concessions can get pricey at movie theaters but you can, don’t be obvious, sneak in some candy or a soda.

- Go to street fair or farmers market ? these can be great places to go and just walk around. Many times there is music and performers for entertainment. Food is readily available at these places and they are also a great place to people watch.
