Being able to see your child head off to begin their life when they pack up and move into the dorm of their college is a beautiful thing. There are fewer moments in a parent’s life when you have more of a reason to raise your head and tell everyone that that is your kid.

That day can be a mixed day though. It is full of happiness, a sense of accomplishment, and believing you did everything just the way that you should have over the past years. However, it can also bring a bit of sadness to see them go, and know that they are on their way to their own life… and realizing that you are going to have to let go of them a little bit and let them lead their life.
