One of the best places to get free stuff is at trade shows. Many times there are retailers at trade shows that will give things away for free as they want consumers to know what they have. There are several ways in which you can get free stuff at trade shows as it is not as simple as just showing up.

1. Ask the retailers for products ? If you are looking to get some free stuff you must ask to get it. You should not go up to a booth or display and just expect them to hand it to you. Many of the people working the trade shows will do this to people passing by but they will generally only give small things such as pens or business cards. Go up to the people and ask them for the product as it is why they are there to expose what they have.

2. Go to the press conference or product demonstrations ? It is very easy to get free products by attending the press conference or product demos that the companies attending the trade show put on. The only thing you usually have to do is sit through the conference or demo and many times they also have raffles and contests for good prizes.

3. Make an appointment with a vendor ? Even though all the vendors will talk to people who come up to them you can get more free stuff if you go out of your way to make an appointment with them. They will personally show you what they have and many times will give you a bag of goodies after their presentation is over.

4. Attend company parties ? Many times at trade shows the companies attending will throw parties and usually they give away things to their guests. Many are by invite only but you can try to get invited by talking to them at the booth or e-mailing them beforehand. You get the best of both worlds as you can get free stuff AND go to a party.

5. Go to the show on the last day ? When the companies are moving out they give out a lot of free stuff. Now you must know that the best things may be gone and they are just looking to unload stuff. But you can go up and ask them if they have anything they do not want to take and you may get some good free stuff. You can also get very good discounts on things they are selling on the last day as it costs a lot to ship stuff back to their store or warehouse.

6. Try to get a media pass ? The media pass is the best way to get free stuff at a trade show. The media generally gets in free to the shows and you can simply run a website or a blog and you can get a media pass. There are shows that require more proof but look into what you can do to get a media pass as it is a great way to get free stuff because, as stated before, the companies want recognition of what they have, especially from the media.
