Free Breast Cancer Information CD
The Vassar College Environmental Risks and Breast Cancer Project believes that everyone has the right to make informed decisions. Everyone also has the opportunity to be more knowledgeable about the benefits and risks for various activities that we are involved in. You can visit the site and receive a free CD-Rom that will show you the risks and evidence that shows what role the environment plays in breast cancer.
Everyday risks and hazards are a part of life and it is impossible to avoid all of them. And many risks, when we are exposed to them, cause negative effects. But scientific studies have suggested that, over time, combined exposures to various environmental aspects can account for a significant part of the high rate of breast cancer that currently exists.
On the site there are also other things that can teach you more about breast cancer. There is Resources link where there are four flyers and two general material information packets that you can download, free of charge, in PDF format. There are also other links on the Resources page that have the Vassar College Environmental Risks and Breast Cancer Project’s partners, which are the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute and the Breast Cancer Fund. They also have links to their project associates to the project, which are Breast Cancer Action, Breast Cancer Options, and Silent Spring Institute. All of these links can give you a lot of information about breast cancer and the many options that are available to you. There is also a tour that you can take that will show you about what the CD is all about and much more.
To receive a free CD from the Vassar College Environmental Risks and Breast Cancer Project all you have to do is fill out a small form informing them where to send the CD, as well as asking you where you heard about it. You can also order multiple CD’s as there is PDF form that you can download.
