Cyberspace - A Teacher Resource Tool For All Grades

The only tools an educator used to have for creating and organizing their classroom content, used to be books and their own ingenuity. Now, through the goldmine of items available in cyberspace, the Internet has become the single most valuable teacher resource there is.

The Internet is home to literally thousands of free teacher web sites where they can find everything from the answers to dealing with difficult behavioral problems, to clip art to use for teaching or increasing interest in a particular topic. All the things they used to reference in libraries, is right there, just a mouse click away, and easily stored on their hard drive to be printed out for use in the classroom.

From lesson plans, to worksheets, to activities, teachers have found that manufacturers of textbooks and resource materials, are now providing enriched content through teacher web sites that are designed to supplement and enhance the teacher kits and plans that their school or local board may have implemented as required content. And while the content materials may have been purchased, the supporting teacher web sites are free to access and download items from.

Some of the more common teacher resource materials available, are downloadable and printable books designed to help children with widespread variances in their reading skills. Teachers can also find state specific sites that will provide worksheets, photos, statistics, maps and illustrations to be colored. Virtually every subject and level is covered, in the virtual teacher resources found on educators’ web sites.
